The people who need this most should not be locked out of basic access. If you only need to make a single government form readable each month, you should not be charged. The paid tiers exist for users who hit volume or workflow needs the free tier cannot meet, not to lock the free tier behind a paywall. Signing in uses a Google or Microsoft account; no credit card is required.

Pricing and billing
Is the free tier actually useful?
Yes. 10 pages per month covers the most common case: a single inaccessible government form, school document, or medical PDF each week, described and read entirely on your device. The free tier is permanent, not a trial.
What does yearly billing include?
Yearly billing includes one month free compared with paying monthly. You can switch between monthly and yearly with the toggle above to see each price.
How do I pay, and what happens after?
Paid tiers use pay-first checkout. Choosing a paid plan opens secure checkout through Stripe, and after payment you are signed in to the Aletheia app. The Free tier skips checkout and takes you straight to sign-in with Google or Microsoft.
Can I cancel, and do I get a refund?
You can cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled per our Terms of Service.
What is the difference between the AI tiers?
Free, Student, and Campus use on-device descriptions only. Personal and Family add opt-in Enhanced AI through Lonia-provided cloud, capped at 500 and 1500 descriptions per month. Professional and Enterprise use your own AI key with on-device fallback; they do not include Lonia-paid cloud AI.
