Response times
Accessibility reports are acknowledged within five business days and security reports within three business days. Acknowledgement is a reply from a person, not a resolution time. No response time is committed for general support.
Why Aletheia exists
In April 2026 the Department of Justice extended the ADA Title II web accessibility compliance deadlines by a year. They now fall on April 26, 2027 for public entities serving populations of 50,000 or more, and April 26, 2028 for public entities serving populations under 50,000, and special district governments. The standard is WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
In May 2026 the Department of Health and Human Services did the same for Section 504. Its dates are now May 11, 2027 for recipients of federal financial assistance with 15 or more employees, and May 10, 2028 for recipients with fewer than 15 employees, also against WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
In June 2026 the Department of Justice Office of Legal Counsel issued an opinion narrowing Olmstead and advised federal agencies that longstanding integration guidance is not independently enforceable.
The Americans with Disabilities Act was signed in 1990. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines were first published as a W3C Recommendation on 5 May 1999. WebAIM's 2026 analysis of the top one million home pages still detected WCAG 2 failures on 95.9 percent of them.
